Welcome to Pace Florida

Pace Florida PDF E-mail

Welcome to the official Pace Florida website.  Home of the Patriots! Home to thousands of residents without a city!

Pace is the western gateway to Santa Rosa County Florida and home of the Pace Patriots.  With thousands of residents and more pouring in daily, this unincorporated area is poised and ready to begin its first steps to the new future as a new Florida city.  Until such time this site is dedicated to providing the Pace residents a consolidated resource of information that any city site should have.  Here's to Pace, and its future!

With it's excellent Public Schools, Recreation Association, Parks, Police and Fire Departments, Hospital and the very best quality of life. The Population in 1970 figures for Pace were 5,000 compared to over 53,000 today

History buffs speak of William Barnett who established Florida Town in 1821, the site of his lumber mill. The rich timberland fed the mill. The town name of Pace did not enter the picture until 1907 when James C. Pace opened the Pace Mill which was in operation for 22 years. Changing to an emphasis of pulp production, the mill reopened in the late 1930’s as the Florida Pulp and Paper Company.

Pace’s location is easily accessible to Milton and Pensacola with many residents commuting back and forth to work. The local companies such Wal-Mart Super-center, Home Depot, Office Depot, Publix, Lowe's, Sear's, and many more are offering more residents job opportunities. Pace is home to many of the military personnel and civilian employees from Naval Air Station Whiting Field, located northeast of Pace. The Field was commissioned in 1943 to train aviators. Today it is a thriving aviation complex..

The Santa Rosa County School System was rated “Best in State” on FCAT testing. While growth has forced more planning around infrastructures such as the water and sewer systems and traffic control, and promotion of a top quality educational system.
